Good value - but avoid if your head is very large

by   Andyman ,  May 15, 2009
Pros: Comfortable, good sound quality, effective noise cancelling, good value.
Cons: May not be large enough for big heads. Fussy cable a pain in the butt.
The Bottom Line: Great headphones with good sound cancelling and a nice price.
Review: I found these headphones to be an excellent value with good sound quality, decent noise suppression, comfortable ergonomics, and a friendly price. They make a nice seal on your head when you wear them, but they remain comfortable. Sound quality ...

A great purchase.

by   hellthcm5 ,  May 30, 2008
Pros: Better noise canceling, more comfort, better sound, better built, better price.
Cons: Less bass then Bose but better highs.
The Bottom Line: Great Sound, Great Noise Canceling, Great Price.
Review: I was looking for a good quality pair of headphones with the noise canceling feature. Of course I started with the Bose QuietComfort. They got the job done but the price was more then I wanted to spend. With some research I found the Audio-Technica ...

Pros: Good noise cancel, great sound, great price
Cons: none i can think of
The Bottom Line: Great noise cancel great price! Can't go wrong with these NC headphones from Audio Technica!
Review: This is the 2nd pair of noise-cancelling headphones. I have also have a pair of JVC Noise cancels prior to this one. They were cheap... about 40 bucks and had good sound but some weird clicking took over on the left side so i decided to get a better ...

Best Bang for the Buck Noise Cancellation headphones out there

by   igglue ,  Jul 20, 2007
Pros: It's 95% as good as Bose at 1/3 the price (if you shop for them).
Cons: Price is going up, and getting close to refurbished Bose QC2 price.
The Bottom Line: 1/3 the price (if you look hard) for the 95% of the functionality of Bose QC2. This is the best 'bang of the buck' out there.
Review: I've owned several noise cancelling headsets. Many were returned becuase they did not do their job. I currently own 3 headsets. The first noise cancelling headphones I bought from sharper image, Bose QC2, and now Audio-Technica. I haven't had a ...

A great active noise canceling headphone

by   akazgea ,  Jan 4, 2008
Pros: Very good noise cancellation, light and comfortable, good sound quality...
Cons: Background hissing...
The Bottom Line: If you are in search for a good-looking, high-quality and good-performing NC headphone, ATH-ANC7 belongs to the top of that list.
Review: I have been using this headphone for the last two months, and I am very satisfied with its quality. In terms of noise canceling, it achieves a performance as good as my Sennheiser HD280 pro (and maybe better in some aspects), which can be considered ...

Good competitor to Bose

by   rvmiller96 ,  Aug 10, 2007
Pros: great sound, nicely made, nice carrying case, comfortable, and good price.
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: A great set of headphones for the price.
Review: I was looking for a quality set of headphones for use when I travel (by air) and for occasional use at the office. While I am certainly not an audiophile, I do know quality sound and I wanted headphones that would be a pleasure to listen to, would be ...

Ha ha ha!

by   john_in_nc ,  Jan 26, 2008
Pros: Good price, quality product, great sound
Cons: Full-sized headset, something to get used to.
Review: Everyone is comparing this to Bose, well I tried on the Bose headset while at the department store and I thought they sounded great as well but never tried them side by side. But what is hilarious is when you compare these to those cheapo ear ...

You won't get any closer to Bose for this price!

by   mwietstock ,  Jan 11, 2008
Pros: Beautiful, great-sounding alternative to Bose, for about one third the price.
Cons: Earcups a bit on the snug side; external sound leakage.
The Bottom Line: They aren't Bose, but the positive reviews are on point. This headset is comparable to Bose in nearly every respect, but with just a tad less bass response.
Review: HOW/WHY I FOUND THE AUDIO-TECHNICA ATH-ANC7: Once upon a time, my wife bought me a set of Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones as a Christmas gift. They were, without a doubt, the finest headphones I've ever owned. They weren't made of the strongest ...

Top notch noise canceling headphones

by   jvolzer ,  Apr 18, 2009
Pros: great passive and active NR, decent price, regular AAA battery
Cons: others in class just a bit cheaper, not great bass sound, hot ears
The Bottom Line: These come highly recommended and definitely earn their Above Average rating.
Review: General Info As the fourth of four noise-canceling headphones I tested, I'll start right out by saying that these are at the top of my list.  My first set was a ...
