Great Low-Price, Good Feature GPS

Date of Review:  Dec 25, 2006
The Bottom Line: For a reasonable cost, this unit has all of the basic features of a GPS (gives your location, shows complete maps, and guides you through routes) with relatively few weaknesses.
Review: I had been looking at GPS systems for over a year but was reluctant to take the plunge. The major deterrents were cost, a slew of mixed reviews (mostly reflecting problems with accuracy and features), and size. I had decided to bite the bullet and...

Very happy with my iway

Date of Review:  Jan 3, 2007
The Bottom Line: For under $300 I feel is a good deal and it is comparable with the $400 Magellan or Garmin models.
Review: Not much too add tho the first review on this unit as it is very in depth and accurate. I am decided to replace my Garmin Etrex due to the fact that it was very good at telling me where I was, but not able to route me to where I wanted to be. I'll...

Best unit for the price includes Canada too

Date of Review:  Jun 27, 2007
The Bottom Line: It's well worth the money for an inexpensive GPS. The small screen is not a problem you can't see any of them on the sunlight anyway.
Review: IWAY 250C
From

We were taking a trip to Utah from Connecticut. Since we had all the time we needed to go (we're retired) and wanted to see the country we opted to take the car. I wanted a GPS to have as the...

Budget navigation with turn by turn voice routing.

Date of Review:  May 7, 2007
The Bottom Line: Good, competent travel instructions at a reasonable price.
Review: I bought the Lowrance iWay 250c about a month ago for an upcoming West Coast vacation, and have been using it nearly every day to familiarize myself with its use. It works very well, and I'm confident that it's going to be a welcome companion on...

Awesome unit! MP3 and Nav at the same time!

Date of Review:  Apr 21, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for cheap and accurate and MP3 this is it
Review: I researched and researched and researched like most of you are doing. Bought it for $199.99 at Staples with the 3yr protection plan ~$45. Lowrance will NOT warranty any unit purchased through an auction! Go to one of their listed dealers on their...

Most Bang for the Buck

Date of Review:  Apr 17, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would buy this GPS unit. If money is no object then go for the Nuvi, otherwise save $200 for essentially the same machine.
Review: The IWAY 250C offers more bang for the buck than probably any automotive GPS out there. At less than half the price of a Nuvi 350 it does almost everything its Garmin cousin can do. I've had a 250C for a couple of weeks. I was able to compare it to...

Haul a travel trailer? Get one of these..,

Date of Review:  Jun 17, 2007
The Bottom Line: Well priced unit. Turn by turn directions, log in points of interest. Easy to use, comes charged right out of the box.
Review: Had ours for 3 weeks now. Used it on our one week trip to B.C. and to navigate to 3 locations in busy Edmonton on a Fri afternoon. I've installed the exterior antenna on my truck (available from GPS City for $19.95, ask for Gil) the unit preformed...

First experience not good

Date of Review:  Mar 5, 2008
The Bottom Line: Avoid it. Though cheap, its poor performance will cost you and the illusion of having a GPS is not helpful.

Easy to use touchscreen

Date of Review:  Oct 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a budget GPS receiver, this is the device for you.
Review: Bought this off of Amazon a couple of months ago. I've been using it with an external antenna that was purchased off eBay. I haven't had trouble with it except that some of the maps are bit outdated, but that is an issue with any GPS receiver. It...

Best to know where your going

Date of Review:  Nov 23, 2007
Review: Not a bad unit for the money. If I'd payed more for it, it would be going back to Lowrance.
Has a tendency to take you of a freeway on an interesting tour of some small town, just to put you back on the same freeway a few miles down the road...
