I once was lost, but now am found, my GPS, how sweet.

Date of Review:  Oct 26, 2006
The Bottom Line: You can t go wrong with the Nuvi 350. It's the perfect travel companion in town or around the world. Simple, powerful, feature rich. Haven t regretted a single dollar paid.
Review: Back in the good ole days, out of college, no mortgage, no family, when 100% of my post-bar tab take-home pay was disposable, I would have gladly plunked down the dough for a GPS device. But then one day I realized how much money I d been wasting on...

Very tiny, very trick, very modern multifunction Navigator/MP3 player and more

Date of Review:  Nov 29, 2005
The Bottom Line: This is a really compact navigator for the business traveler. It is tiny and light and doubles as an MP3 player
Review: Updated July 22, 2006 to reflect the impact of the latest firmware release.

More out of your GPS, Less out of your wallet

Date of Review:  Dec 1, 2006
The Bottom Line: With prices dropping by more than 1/2 since its initial release@ $970, you're running out of reasons to keep procrastinating. Functionality teamed with endless options makes this hard to pass!
Review: Procrastination had pushed off the idea of a GPS unit for years, mostly because of the skyrocketing prices when they first showed up. However, in the late 2006, I was rather surprised to find that many high quality units could be had for fractions...

A Great Travel Companion

Date of Review:  Feb 26, 2007
The Bottom Line: A definite class-leader, a useful tool for travel and fun gadget to boot.
Review: Background
I am a business traveler and having to print out maps in preparation for each trip is always a hassle. I decided to purchase a GPS navigation/mapping unit to cut down on my trip preparation time, and to hopefully avoid having to make...

More than GPS, a travel tool

Date of Review:  Jun 23, 2006
The Bottom Line: Portability and speech functions justify the $799 list price. I would only consider cheaper models if those features are unimportant to you.
Review: Before purchasing this model, I looked at several other Garmins, Tom-Tom, a Magellan, and a Sony. The Nuvi won out primarily due to its ease of use, great portability, and speech functions. Though excellent, this unit is not without its quirks.

The GPS Equivalent of an iPod

Date of Review:  Jul 18, 2006
The Bottom Line: Well designed, high quality, pocketable GPS with outstanding performance and features, although a bit pricey. Consider waiting for prices to fall, as the Nuvi 360 (with Bluetooth) is coming out.
Review: I was shopping for a GPS unit for a family vacation to New York. We planned to rent a car in NYC and drive our way through upstate NY to Niagara Falls and Toronto, stopping at multiple cities and attractions along the way. After reading quite a bit...

Initial Experience with Nuvi 350

Date of Review:  Aug 16, 2006
The Bottom Line: Great replacement for my stolen 10 year old Garmin GPS , but I'm afraid my wife will want it for shopping adventures she's not previously attempted, fearing getting lost.
Review: A thief stole my 10 year old Garmin GPS+ so I bought a Nuvi 350 recommended by Best Buy's in-store expert. Hopefully, all the stuff the theif stole less my $500 Homeowner's deductible will soften the high cost.

My first confusion came...

Fantastic product, now lets see how great their support is.

Date of Review:  May 7, 2006
The Bottom Line: So far after 2 weeks, Excellent product with some caveats.
Review: For me a GPS is virtually a necessity, not a toy. I have ridden with several friends who had other brands that had "issues" such as taking a long time to acquire a sattelite or losing the signal periodically. Another problem I had noticed with...

Garmin Nuvi - one of the best

Date of Review:  Jan 17, 2007
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended; probably the best on the market at the time this was written.

You get what you paid for

Date of Review:  Jul 16, 2006
The Bottom Line: For the price and compared to other GPS units, it is a GOOD buy.
Review: I'm a real estate appraiser and I practically live in my car during the week, after much debate on tossing my paper maps out the window and buying a GPS, I settled on the NUVI. Mainly because of its pocket size and easy to remove and take with you...
