Poor design

We have been using this coffee maker for several months and it does not work well. This is due to poor design of the latch that holds the basket in place. Large amounts of steam leak between the basket and the top and this causes the plastic to warp and release the basket. The spring loaded basket hinge swings the basket out with very messy results. A piece of duct tape to hold the basket in place "fixes" the problem except that some times the shut off for the basket outlet doesn't open and the coffee and grounds flow over the unit and onto the counter. We will never buy another Braun.
