Author's Review
This Graphics card is the best one that I have ever had. This has helped me in my gaming, in my computer speed, and just in general for watching movies.
This Card is NVIDIA® Ready. This card is easy to install, for all you have to do is plug in the card, load the CD/DVD and upgrade your drivers on your computer to handle the card. Since most monitors do not fit the cards slots that are there, there are adaptors that you can attach so you can you the monitor that you have. The card also comes with to slots where you can attack two monitors, or possible a Television if you have the cables to hook it up/a TV that allows such cables.
One of the games that I used to not be able to play, because my prior graphic card would not allow, was able to be played with this card. This is one of the top quality cards out today, and will play all games, and keep your speed up.
For some who play First Person Shooters online games, I had played counter-striker for over 5 years and never got and fps of 60 or more. Once I put in this card, I was able to adjust the game so it would run at 100 fps. My games now go faster, and I do not lag at in game play.
For movie wise, the quality is perfect. I play my TV shows such as The Office and Lost and I am able to get a perfect quality like I am watching an HD channel. How ever you also have to have a good monitor to be able to display such images. So if you do decide to buy this graphics card, I suggest that you go off and get yourself a nice widescreen HD LCD screen for your computer and master it out.
Another thing this card is good for, it pictures. My mom loves to take pictures, load them onto the computer, and edit them herself. Now this monitor has allowed her cameras full quality to show, with better imaging it seems.
According to the box that this card was in, the GeForce 8800 is for those who are Extreme Gamers, and for those who are Technology Enthusiasts. Since there are many gamers out there who just want the best game play possible, they should look into getting this card. Also those who just want the best for their computer should get this as well. For if you are maxing your computer out with a fast CPU and a Nice Motherboard, a 1 TB Hard drive, and a 1800Watt Power Supply, why not add one of the best possible graphics card to that list.
My overall rating for this graphics card is an A++. Without it, I dont really think that my gaming would be the way it is right now, and that it couldnt get any better right now.
This graphics card will be able to play many up coming games without having to upgrade any time soon. Yes I believe I will have to upgrade in the future, but this should cover the next few years.
You do however have to know what you are doing if you want to set up your card in the advance mode to get the most quality from your card. For if you just do the bare minimum that it automatically does for you, you will not get the full action and running of the board. So if you need the help, just call up a friend that you know who is good with computers, and see if he/she can help you set up the settings for your graphics card so you can get the most from it. For the price of the board is quite a bit, and costs way too much to not get the most from it.
