stopped working after 6 months

bought this for my kids to watch dvd's on car rides, I liked that it came with so much stuff, remote, headrest case, 2 ear phones, car charger and plug charger. Seemed to work fine until one day it just read wrong disc and hasn't worked since and we have only had this unit for about 5 months and the warranty was only for 90 days. I also didn't like that the remote has lots of buttons but many of them are not labeled so you cant easily find the right button to push and also it was difficult to teach my 5 yr old daughter which button to push on the remote for which thing she wanted to to do because many buttons are very similar. Company was not helpful at all in fixing the replacing unit, they do not repair only exchange within the warranty period. He said I could clean the lense with a lense cleaner and that didn't work I would take it to an electronics repair person to have it fixed. Not worth the money, I suggest you spend a little more and buy one with a year warranty on it, now I'm one month from a 6 hour car trip and a broken dvd player that will have to be replaced before we leave.
