Author's Review
My husband & I both LOVE our Deuter Kid Aircomfort, as does our daughter! I am 5'8" & my husband is 6', and although the torso is not adjustable, we both are able to get a perfect fit. Our daughter is 19 months and very small, so we have the seat up as far as it will go & she's able to rest her chin on the chin pad -- there's lots of room for her to grow into.
This was the first of it's type that we tried & after trying several others we realized we were in love with it. We tried a very nice pack by REI, we tried a Kelty, & 2 others, all of which were far more expensive, but none were as comfortable & cool as this one. The feature we love most is the mesh back. When trying out the other packs our backs became sweaty after only a couple of minutes. My husband wore our daughter in the Deuter for several hours in 90+ heat & they both stayed very comfortable. A huge priority in our very hot climate. It also has a good-sized storage pouch under where the child sits.
We purchased this on vacation (so we probably could have gotten it cheaper) for $119. However we feel it was worth every penny, and after trying packs at twice the price we know we walked away with a steal!
We can't wait to go on our next hiking trip!
