Pros: camera, walkman, sliding feature, durability, applications, bluetooth, great first phone
Cons: different button functions than most other phones, small keys
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a first phone, this is the one!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Sony Ericsson's W580i has been my faithful companion of 2 years now. This was my first phone ever. It is very user friendly and straightforward. The menus are very attractive and themes for the phone can be found online to give even more visual...

Pros: Nice display, sound, and fitness functions
Cons: Poor bluetooth reception and network reception
The Bottom Line: For those who don't need a smart phone. Very good multimedia functions. Takes good pictures and plays mp3s and other formats very nicely. But poor bluetooth and network reception.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I purchased this phone as a combination mp3 player/multimedia phone, as I have no need for a smart phone. What attracted to me to Sony Ericsson was the good reviews I've heard about the Sony Ericsson phones. This was my first slider type phone, so I...

Pros: Walkman mode, fitness features, solid design
Cons: File Transfer only works with memory unit, button placement on front
The Bottom Line: For $50 this is probably one of the best values on the market.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I got the Sony Ericsson w580i when it was promoted for $50 with a two-year AT&T contract. Compared to other phones in the under $100 price range, the w580i seemed quite stylish and contemporary in design. It also boasted a wide range of features...

Pros: Hip slider phone, easy-to-use, good camera and music player.
Cons: Smaller keypad may present a problem for heavy texters.
The Bottom Line: Great phone, great music player, and good camera. Can you ask for more?
This reviewer recommends this product.

Pros: Lots of features, good size, expandable memory
Cons: Too many Sony-specific cables, ports, and software
The Bottom Line: It's really for someone that wanted a smartphone but didn't really need one or someone that doesn't want to pay for all that data the smartphones use.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After owning a Sony W600 walkman cellular phone for almost two years, I went into my local AT&T store and "upgraded" my phone. I was actually just shopping for a new phone for my wife, but after talking with the store manager and making a call to...

Pros: Radio, music player, pedometer, other unique features
Cons: Questions re: durability
The Bottom Line: Been very happy so far, will try and update review after a few months of use, but feature mix I have seen on other phones.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: So far been pretty happy. Went with this one over the other colors since it looked the coolest (note that it may not necessarily indicate it, but some of them are more two-tone). The music feature is pretty neat, I don't use it as a true Walkman but...

Pros: lots of great features, radio and music is great!
Cons: fragile, tough to navigate (potentially), keys break for no reason
The Bottom Line: Although phone is great for the fitness or music fanatic who was some technical know-how, I would steer clear as this phone just breaks too easily.

Review: This is the first time in 8 years I've purchased a phone that wasn't made by nokia (I guess you could say I'm partial to their cell phones). I decided to go with something new and cool, the new walkman slider phone from sony.

Pros: Great phone camera combination. Great price. FANTASTIC service from manufacturer for minor fault.
Cons: Lousy backup by the SERVER (AT&T) but GREAT backup from manufacturer.
The Bottom Line: Works well as a phone/camera combination. Great for always having a tiny camera with you. Did not cost a lot, great backup from manufacturer for minor fault.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I got my Sony Ericsson 580i phone early in 2009 because I wanted a phone that could that could take pictures, and I didn't want to pay a lot for it. My phone cost me $10 as a refurb from AT&T and it looked unused when it arrived so I was very happy...

Pros: OS and User Interface, Graphics Card, Walkman, Cybershot, Accelerometer, Audio Quality, Elegance, Screen
Cons: Plastic Construction, Battery Life
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you don't mind plastic construction or a short battery life (call time is great, standby is not). Other than those, it is simply a great phone.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Prior to this phone, I owned a Moto RAZR V3i, so expect my standards to be a bit higher than expected.
Ok, it seems that since I've never done a phone review, this is going to lack structure of any kind, and will sound rambling and run-on... |

Pros: love the sound and volume and clarity of calls
Cons: keypad - keys "feel lose" after a little wear and the internet connect button.
The Bottom Line: would recommend to younger folks that like instant pictures, emails/text messages, etc.
