Head Turning Luxury Sport-Coupe

First off this review is on the coupe, not the sedan...my silver coupe has the luxury package and the 18 inch premium wheels. I purchased my Infiniti G35 used in January of 2006 with 24K miles on it for $26,000 and I have yet to be disappointed. This car is essentially the big brother to the 350Z. Think of the 350 with room for a five-year-old in the back and a couple sets of golf clubs in the trunk. This is a car for DRIVERS!!! Look elsewhere if you don't like hearing and feeling the road...personally I can't imagine a better driving experience.

The designers of this car put a ton of thought into every detail. From the door handles, to the ash tray to the seats that fit better than an Isotoner, I’ve been thoroughly impressed. I was looking for a status symbol and boy did I ever get one. The car drives like the 350Z yet has the luxury appeal that the Infiniti brand brings to the table. The 290+ horses prove time and again to be more than enough for me to navigate the Baltimore/DC traffic and I've also taken this car to Cleveland and Cincinnati several times on road trips where it fared fantastically as well.

I average about 19-23 miles per gallon which is better than advertised, but I do around 90% of my driving of the highway with the cruise set at 80 mph or so (I’ve had it up to 120 with no shaking...SMOOTH!!). This car dives into corners and accelerates with the best of them. I love the manual-automatic feature for navigating the mountains; further increasing my MPG and control.

The leather is supple and the interior is well laid out. I find myself dancing my fingers around the steering wheels of my other two cars looking for the cruise control and radio controls…it becomes second nature. One complaint is the Bose sound system. It’s extremely difficult to get replaced as it is integrated into the steering wheel and the speakers are all proprietary. I’m not impressed with the sound quality and it does not live up to the “Bose standard.”

Overall it came down to the G35 or a 3-Series Beamer and in my opinion the G35 blows away the BMW 330i, Lexus IS 300, and Mercedes-Benz C320 in EVERY aspect! (Well, unless you're just looking for the BMW name and or car that drives like a couch).
