Good read, so-so book

The Bottom Line: Fast-paced, but too cinematic. A polished, but boring start to an overly and overtly commercial enterprise.
Review: I just finished the new "just like Harry Potter" book, Artemis Fowl, in which we learn how a 12-year-old scion of an Irish criminal family extorts half a ton of gold from fairies by kidnapping one of their agents.
