"Fowl"ing Fowl through his adventures

Artemis Fowl is a great book to read about a young genius boy who is trying to steal some gold from some leprechauns.

It starts out when he manages to get a hold of the "bible" of the leprechauns, containing all of the rules they have to follow. Once he decodes it he manages to catch a leprechaun and set a trap to get some gold. He must use his brain as hard as he can so he can always stay one step ahead of the leprechauns and their device of complete destruction.

Artemis Fowl is a very good book. At first he is in control. He has his hostage locked up in a cell without the use of magic, he has the entire leprechaun force underestimating him, and he is one step ahead every move. Soon though his hostage gains back her magical powers and escapes her cell, Artemis's copy of their rulebook is found, and the leprechauns bring in a device of mass destruction.

Not only is this a great book, it's two sequels are also just as good. Artemis must work together with the leprechauns to find his father and save him from the Russian mafia.

This is a great book and should be read by everybody. The fact that most of the story is seen through the villain's point of view makes it especially good. This is a definite must read by kids and adults alike.
