Author's Review

While it seems that most teens are infatuated with cars, money and clothes Lil Wayne seems to take it to the next level. The fasanation with diamonds and having the best cars on the block are probaly do to the company that he keeps. On the new sophmore album Lights Out, Wayne takes everything to the next level. On songs such as "Break me Off" and "Act An A$$" it is easy to see that Wayne is expressing the way that he looks at women. The lyrics that he says are very simalar to a "Big Tymers" point of view. "Expression". That is the main word to describe this album.

I guess that it is really hard to be so young and have so much money. It must also be reminded that Lil Wayne is only 17 years old. But explains that age doesnt matter and that he can stand his own. On tracks such as "Grown Man" he lets the world know that yes, he is grown and he can handle all of his responsiblities like an adult.

But trouble soon sets in this album with what I think to be poor mixing on some of the songs. Songs such as "Biznite", where the vocals are lower than the beat, show that there may have been some "rushing" trying to finish up the album. There are maybe 2 other songs that seem to be unfinished on the album.

However despite some of the downfalls on the album I asure you that there well be nothing but super startem for this young rapper. In the rap world there are many that say' "Age doesnt matter." But in reality it does and I think that Wayne may not get the respect or ratings that he deserves because he is so young.
