Date of Review: May 29, 2008
The Bottom Line: A must read before you vote in November!
I was given this book by my sister 3 years ago.. yes before I knew who Barak Obama was. She said you have to read this. when I got done I told my husband, who is really into politics, He WILL be our next president. I sware this book inspired me to say this 3 years ago. My husband laughed at me... he is not laughing now.
Great read even if you are not into politics!
This book is not only a great tale of how Barak goes from a "broken" home to be the first Black man to be editor of the law review of Harvard Law it is a great inspiration to anyone who wants to believe that ther are still people out there that do do the right thing.
Values! He gets across the idea that Values are what is missing in this country with out placing blame... he just leads by example. WOW what a novel idea for ploitics.
The writing is inspiring, soft and flows very well. It keeps you wanting to read more. It gave me that deep down in the belly warm feeling during the entire read.
My absolute favorite part in the book was the copy of the speach he gave at the Democratic Convention. All I have to say is WOW. It gave me hope that there is someone in politics that Get's It! He Get's it!
A MUST READ BEFORE YOU VOTE IN NOVEMBER!!! Please read it before you vote either direction. Find out for yourself why everyone loves him. Decide from the horses mouth weather he is worthy of your vote.
