Review: This is an audio book consisting of 4 CD’s and the approx running time is 4 hours 55 minutes. The 4 CD’s are enclosed in one box, making it very handy to carry in the car. The CD’s were bought in WH Smith on an offer for Buy 3 for 2, so I am not sure ...

Horrowitz is the average 13 year old's dream come true. A teenage spy!!!

by   drama_king ,  Dec 1, 2005
Pros: A teenager actually kills a grown man!!! I think that explains it all!!!
Cons: So popular that you might need to reserve or buy it online
The Bottom Line: Buy this book because even though you might not find it exciting, your son would. Trust me.
Review: An everyday kid gets easily bored by reading boring stories, and even if it as a shooting adventure one, the one who kills people is always an adult. I know this, I AM a 13 year old boy. I always wanted to read a story with the main character, a teenage ...

Review #850 - Stormbreaker

by   captaind ,  Feb 12, 2008
Pros: Great for early teenage boys...
Cons: ... not so great for the rest of us!
The Bottom Line: Not terrible but the writing style is off-putting.
Review: StormBreaker is the book of a movie that I quite liked the look of but never quite got round to seeing. Written by Anthony Horowitz, it is a teenage spy novel - James Bond as a 14 year-old, if you like - and is written very much with its target ...

Cons: Too simplistic for anyone over 14
The Bottom Line: I can recommend this book for teenage boys up to 14 but not to adult readers.
Review: As I was browsing through the "just released" section at Barnes and Noble, I came across the most recent "Alex Rider" novel from Anthony Horowitz. I noticed that the book was the 6th or 7th book in the series and I never like to jump into the middle of ...

by   gotherx ,  Apr 12, 2009
Pros: Teen Superspy. great for teenager especially male
Cons: If you let it to be read by older people, they won't be amazed.
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you have spare money. But if you're looking for nice lines and good logic then don't.
Review: Well, as a teenager I've always dreamed to be a superspy. I've never thought that this book made me visualize it. When I saw it in the bookstore, it caught my attention that I've spent my remaining money for it. The book is about a teen who doesn't know ...
