Author's Review
First let me start by saying I live in the UK, and have to rely on a rubbish bus service in winter to get from A to B in my city. This, is the one and only thing that makes me regret spending £200 on this gorgeous stroller.
It's far too heavy to use on public transport- and if you're not something close to a body builder with a huge truck- you might also find it troublesome to hulk out of your car boot day to day.
But- apart from being extraordinarily heavy to lift- This stroller only has good things for me to say.
The fabric is plush and expensive looking, with the nice detail of reflective safety strips. The cozy-toes is deliciously warm- negating the need for extra blankets with a newborn baby. The wheels are robust, and after a year of constant use along unfriendly pavements (often littered with glass in my charming neighbourhood) All they have required is the occassional pumping up from month to month. The suspension is a dream- my baby does not notice bumps, holes in the pavement or stones under the air fill tyres.
When it came to choosing strollers I was agonising over the hundreds on offer to me, and I was surprised that so few strollers on the market offered the option of having the baby facing you. I chose this one primarily because I craved the robust abilities of a 3-wheeler for my constant walking in the more clement months of the year, and it had the wonderful reversable seat option! I loved it!
Other nice features of this stroller include- A nifty little ventilation net in the canopy hood, I found this perfect for my little boy in the summer who loved being able to see the world around him whilst the seat was reclined and he was shaded under the hood, allowing a cool breeze to wave over him!
The seat is deep and wide- something a lot of pushchairs I looked at sadly lacked, only offering shallow seating units- not terribly comfortable for squirmy growing toddlers!
The front wheel turns 'on a dime' (a lovely american phrase!) and enables me to dodge little old ladies in the supermarket with no trouble at all!
Being able to lock the swivel wheel at the flick of a switch on the stroller handle was also fantastic- made it easier to mount the kerbs and also for easier control along straight roads. -Basically means I can text on my 'phone and not worry so much about accidently pushing the stroller into a hedge!
Sadly my baby has rapidly turned into a toddler (walking at 10 months onward, Now at 13 months completely independant!!)- so I hardly use this gorgeous pushchair any more, but I will certainly be keeping it for my subsequent babies.
