great portable modem

This is a great modem small light weight it has onboard digital signal processing and v.92 i recently switched my isp to one that supports v.92 and page load speeds increased considerably only thing that is lacking is that it is not controller based currently no one makes a controller based v.92 usb modem with onboard dsp but zoom will have one out soon i talked to them :p also tech support IS good if you need it:P i dont and installation was a snap in both win 98 and win 2000 pro if you have a laptop i would get the pcmcia model #3075-00-00L(which i also have) it is controller based + you will have no cords and its the size of a credit card. i think they have an internal pci model and they definately have an external one that connects to serial port model#3049-00-00L zoom makes the best dialup modems PERIOD. To search for an isp that offers v.92 goto www.findanisp.com use the offers v.92 filter search using all the towns and citys that are local calls from your home.
