Palm Zire™ 72 Special Edition Handheld

I got a good deal on the sire 72 but I didn't get everything I wanted. It doesnt have wi-fi capabilities unless you buy a $75 wi-fi SDIO card. If you do this it limits what you can save since it has 25mb of internal storage. I had no problems hotsyncing my data but when it came to surfing the web via Bluetooth I hit many roadblocks. The built in camera feature is really nice and has 2 video modes. It can also shoot still pictures but you need a steady hand. If you record a video thats too long you cant view it on the palm but you can upload it to your computer later for editing and redistribution. All in all I still would have bought the Zire regardless of features. It also has a built in voice recorder that come in handy if you are one for podcasting (creating your own). It doesnt have an approximation of battery life mainly because it depends on what you do. I held a charge listening to MP3's for about 2 hours. There is lots of 3rd party software that you can run from internal memory of an expansion SD card. Makes a great gift! If you want something that is versatile and you use bluetooth this is the one for you. You can sync it with your bluetooth enabled cellphone but I never did. User friendly navigation makes this little gadget a top buy.
