This is the best of the PalmOne Zire handhelds. It can play music, take pictures, take videos, access the internet (using a PalmOne Wi-Fi card), be a universal remote control (with software not included), and still can perform all of the usual Palm Pilot features. One should by the Special (Silver) addition of this handheld, for the original version's paint wears off easily. You can create documents, send e-mail, be organized 24/7, and do much, much more with this powerful device. It is a great item to buy!
There are a few negatives, but the positives still outweigh them. Firstly, there is no printed manual that comes with it, so you have to print the manual yourself from the PalmOne CD that comes with the Zire 72. Secondly, the Zire 72's screen makes an extremely high-pitched buzzing sound. It is very quiet, but if you are in a quiet room you can hear it, and can be very annoying. The best way to help this problem is to make the brightness of the screen as low as possible....which is still pretty bright.
