A lovely surprise

Date of Review:  Aug 28, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you don't need wireless or massive amounts of storage, this one is a great choice. Sharp color screen, easy to use--what's not to like?
Review: I was given a Zire 31 on http://www.freecycle.org/ after my Handspring Visor Deluxe just stopped powering up. The Visor was grayscale, so the sharp color screen of the Zire was a really nice surprise. My PDA needs are pretty sparse these days: I...

A Decent PDA

Date of Review:  Jun 11, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you want a small, easy, and Palm-powered PDA that isn't that expensive, then buy the Zire 31.
Review: I just bought a Palm Zire 31 for my dad. He told my that he wanted a MP3 player and he also wanted a chess computer. So, I thought about getting him a PDA. I looked for the least expensive PDA that had an MP3 player built into it. So, I found the...

Good beginner PDA

Date of Review:  Jan 8, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you need something inexpensive and easy to use with few bells or whistles, this is a good beginner handheld.
Review: I have had my Zire 31 for almost a year now. I had zero experience with PDAs before this purchase and didn't really know what to look for. In making the decision to purchase this handheld, I wanted something that was compatible with Weight Watchers...

3 months of FUN

Date of Review:  Mar 3, 2006
Review: So I bought this Palm as a graduation present from college with graduation money. Starting grad school, this thing was amazing. Kept me in line and all my assignments. Was perfect and I soon became dependent on the thing for every day tasks. Well 3...

Good entry-level pda

Date of Review:  Mar 7, 2007
The Bottom Line: Good entry level device, it handles the basic pda functions well and even offers a few extras like the media player.
Review: I've owned my Zire31 for several years now. I replaced a trusty PalmIII with the Zire. I chose it for 3 reasons 1. price, 2. Features 3. Price (ok there were really only 2 reasons) I paid about $130 for it from an online store. I had it for about 2...

Ok PDA, mediocre reliability

Date of Review:  Oct 10, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you're gonna get a Zire PDA, it's better now to buy the Zire 71. Reliability compared to the 31 is unknown, so remember to hotsync often.
Review: I've had and been using this PDA for nearly 2 years now. I believe I can provide a fairly accurate review of this handheld device.

BAD NEWS FIRST: RELIABILITY IS THE BIGGEST GRIPE

As a user had indicated before, this device at...

Good starter PDA

Date of Review:  Dec 27, 2005
The Bottom Line: Good starter PDA for the price.
Review: Before you own your 1st PDA, you really have no idea what your needs are going to be. You might THINK you know, but you will find that what you want in a PDA changes after you actually own one. The Zire 31 gives you a taste of everything, and might...
