I've never been a big fan of country music & I'm no expert but I will give you my honest opinion on this CD.

Like I said I've never been a fan of country music but Josh Turner makes me love it.

He has a sexy baritone voice that you'd expect to come from a large man but surprisingly he is thin and tall.

I became an instant fan of Josh when my friend popped his CD into my car's CD player. I was ready to fuss because she is notorious for her love of country music and I was content with my K.T. Tunstall CD. Before words even started to form I was dumbfounded. His voice is simply - if this isn't to crass- orgasmic.

I found myself really enjoying tracks:

1) Would You Go With Me

"If I gave you my hand would you take it
And make me the happiest man in the world

Would you accompany me to the edge of the sea
Let me know if you're really a dream

- This song opens the cd. This song made me fall for Josh's voice.

4) Your Man

"I've been thinking 'bout this all day long
Never felt a feeling quite this strong
I can't believe how much it turns me on
Just to be your man"

- This is a pretty upbeat and seductive song. It's nothing impressive but I like it.

7) Angels Fall Sometimes

"She's been here long enough to see that I'm no saint by now
Every mornin' I wake surprised to find her still around
The love that she give to me could be no truer sign
Every now and then angels fall sometimes

She brings pieces of heaven every day into my life
She's been my inspiration with her by my side
I'm not afraid to dream high"

- I ADORE this song. I wouldn't mind having this played at my wedding. Josh really humbles himself and refers to the girl as an angel. SWEET!


As you can tell I'm a sucker for the love songs. I enjoyed those three the most.

As far a lyric writing goes, he's not great. But the lyrics are good and they mean something. But if you're just looking for simple easy-listening music, this cd is perfect.

Josh Turner has encouraged me to delve deeper into the country music genre.
