Product Review

I love this keyboard

by   katesgram2000 ,   Nov 17, 2008

Pros:  Great sound. Great feel. Fun to play.

Cons:  Price (for me)
Kind of hard to hook to a computer

The Bottom Line:  If you are looking for a real sounding keyboard-this one is a good investment.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

I had a keyboard like this- I absolutely loved it! The sounds of the various "voices" were pretty amazing. Real sounding sax, trumpet, violin etc.
It was pretty easy to get started using it. The instruction manual is good as far as explaining how to do different things. The features it has are much easier to use than the Casio key boards.
It was great fun to use the accompaniment tracks and play along. I felt like I was playing with a band.

The feel is pretty close to a real piano.

Unfortunately mine was lost in a house fire and I couldn't afford to replace it. (They run $600) so I bought a $200 Casio which I do not like nearly so well.

I figure I will eventually get another Yamaha some day.

If you have the $600 to shell out for it I say go for it. I do not think you will be disappointed.

I had some trouble figuring out how to hook it up to a computer to make CD's with it.
You have to purchase some expensive extras to do so.
The floor pedal kept sliding away while I was playing but the Casios do that too.

The color may not go well with some decors. I would like to see it offered in a dark wood.Mine was blond and looked out of place with my antiques.
