YPG-625

I researched keyboards a lot and decided on the YPG-625 as my starter board. My reasons were #1 it has 88 keys. Now that may sound pretty simplistic, but it is vitality important. #2 Key feel - it has their Graded Hammer Standard, high note keys have a light touch and low notes have a heavier feel - just like an acoustic piano. #3 the software that comes with this keyboard is fantastic! The screen is large, so the built in lessons are clear and easy to read. The package came with everything that I needed to get started, Keyboard, cover, stand, sustain pedal, power supply, and a bench. It also contained a beginners book with a DVD. The sound that this keyboard produces is FUNominal! It truly sounds like an acoustic piano. The other 500 plus sounds that it will produce are great and will keep a beginner entertained for days. The keyboard is also capable of being hooked to a computer so you can use other software for learning as well. You can also use it to write music and have it record, either with or without an external connection. It may or may not be gig worthy, but it truly is a fantastic starter board!
