Maybe not extreme but at least there's variety
Pros:
Really nice scenery graphics, not hard to learn
Cons:
Some events too easy
The Bottom Line:
Worth a peek, especially with Dreamcast game prices falling. I received it as a gift but I'd pay $20-$25 for it.

Author's Review
Overall, Xtreme Sports is worth playing... I've gotten maybe 10 hours out of it so far and haven't completed the entire run of events.
Game Synposis
You start with snowboarding, run over to a hang glider and make your way to an ATV course, then do some mountain biking, etc. Basically the game is a series of events, each of which is limited by time.
Graphics
The graphics are pretty good... when you start out in the snowboarding event it pans around some cool mountain and sky scenery, ending up at the top of this massive hill that you and your puckered butt start down. The contestants have pretty good detail to them. Sometimes the graphics are a little "dreamy," for example if you snowboard off a really steep hill I get the feeling of drifting down rather than hurtling down.
Sound
Sound is pretty good, though hearing the same background radio announcements over and over gets tiring. Some of the other sounds, such as the bike pedaling sound, got on my nerves pretty quick. Of course, that just encouraged me to finish the event faster ;)
Controls
For the most part the controls are okay... some events like mountain biking require only one button to pedal and the analog stick to steer. Hang gliding requires the analog stick to dive, and the triggers to bank left and right. The learning curve isn't too steep on these.
Other Comments
My favorite event is snowboarding... of course, after drooling over SSX on my friend's PS2 :O I am glad to have SOME kind of quality snowboarding gameplay on the Dreamcast.
Conclusion
Worth twenty bucks.
