Better than expected

I bought these speakers at Costco after having seen & heard them on display at a CompUSA. the price was great, especially when you figure in the $50 rebate. I was, of course, impressed by the demo sound, and the sleek black cases were awfully sexy. And anything would've been better than the built-in speaker in my old PowerMac 8500.
When I unboxed the set I was duly impressed by the heft of the subwoofer. I plugged it all in and played some CD's and MP3's. Wow, what a sound!
My only complaint with these speakers is that the controls on top of the right speaker do not allow you to see how they've been set. If someone came in and turned the volume or bass up, for instance, I wouldn't know it until I'd been blasted in the face.
