World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Delivers
Date of Review: Oct 2, 2007
The Bottom Line: This game will not disappoint. With more additions on the way, its quite possible it will never get old either.
After playing the original World of Warcraft, many gamers were wondering if this expansion would kill the game and in fact many people quit in preparation for it. However, Blizzard did not mess around with this expansion. The Burning Crusade contains an endless amount of content for the most avid gamers to immerse themselves in for countless hours. The constant updates to the game add even more content and fun additions to the already amazing game. Gamers were excited to find out a new Battleground had come into play with this expansion, as well as the exciting Arena play. Not only does Arena add a whole new twist to the game, but it gives a reason for the casual gamer to still play this MMORPG. Blizzard also is taking care of the online environment well by cracking down on the notorious "bots" and spammers that usually roam the MMORPG playing fields. The new editions to the Player versus Environment section of the game are well thought out and well meshed into the story line which enables a player to become immersed in the complex plot that The Burning Crusade delivers. The re-emergence of World Player versus Player incentives is another new addition to this expansion. As players already know, world pvp is by far one of the best parts of the game, so any incentive to do more of it is just awesome for everyone.
