Not quite a perfect game but still a no hitter

It has been a tuff 2 1/2 years going with out a Sega sports baseball

game. Since the days of Sega's Sports Talk Baseball, I have enjoyed, in

fact just about loved playing Sega's baseball games. I was so excited

that WSB 2K1 was on its way that i called the local game store every

other day to find out it the game had been delayed once more. Like i

said it had been a tuff 2 1/2 years since the last WSB title on the

Saturn. I had such high expectations. My first impression was of course

how good the graphics were. One thing the WSB franchise has always

offered were the best of the feel of the real stadiums. Except the first

WSB on the Saturn which let you only choose from 4 different stadiums.

After actually getting into the game I realized that is was sweet but

very difficult. The right trigger swing action took some time to get

used to. The pitching was almost the same as WSB 98 on the Saturn but

only missing the pitch locater. One thing that dissipointed me was that

there was no Home Run Derby. But one much needed option was that

Trading and Creating features. One thing that is not there but to me is not

needed is that of manual feilding. I dont know about anybody else but

Auto fielding is just fine for me. Stadiums are good, and players are

awsome. I am half way through a season but still have not seen any

weather infractions. which was the main feature on the Saturn's WSB 2.

After a simualated season stats seem to be on track, but one thing

missing is the player of the month which was featured on the Saturn's WSB

98 and i have not seen any kind of MVP, CY YOung, and Gold Glove race

yet. But over all it is the best baseball game ever, knocking WSB last

tilte off my list to number 2. I Recommend this game to even the average

baseball fan!!!!!!!!!!! I mean they put so much detail into this game

you can see the lights shining off the bat when at home plate, or the

shadows at Fenway move according to sun's movement during a day game. IT

the Best by far.
