Working Woman's Magazine
Date of Review: Jul 2, 2000
I can remember when Woman?s World first hit news stands. I ran right out to buy one. Today I am still running. This has got to be my favorite magazine.I love to read but, like most people, I am pressed for time to myself.
This magazine was make with the working woman in mind. It is perfect for me. I love the layout. I can spot read(as I call it)easily. I like to keep a Woman?s World in the van. That way if I get caught waiting on a train or inline somewhere I always can **read**.
The layout consist of short and to the point articles. No article is more than 2 pages long. Unless it?s like recipes for a diet on another page. This is great for me. I can get the information I need and not have to read all day to get it.
The magazine has 9 categories. They are as follows:
1.Fashion and Beauty
2.Real Life Stories
3.Features
4.Celebrities
5.Home and Family
6.Your good Health
7.Food and Nutrition
8.Expert Advice
9.Etc.
Of course each category has sub-categories. Such as?beauty tips, diet tips, Chicken soup for the soul, Good Parenting, and more.
They also include a romance short story, a mini-mystery story, horoscopes, and a weekly puzzle. But I have to say my favorite part is the "Last Laugh" and "Your Beautiful Baby". "Last Laugh" includes jokes, Was my face red?, and Kids say the cutest things. "Your Beautiful Baby" is baby pictures sent in by the public.
I choose not to have a subscription for a couple different reasons.
First because the magazine is a weekly magazine, the cost for a subscription for one year is $49.95. That?s quite a bit of money to spend at one time. At the cost of $1.25 per magazine. I can pick it up when I?m grocery shopping and not break the family budget.
Also if I was getting it weekly, it would be one more thing I have to do instead of something I want to do. That?s important to me.
I love this magazine and Highly recommend it to my family and friends. I always pass them on as I finish them.
