For the Woman who does it all!

I guess I started buying Woman's Day magazine when I
moved out of my Parents home and into my first apartment
I needed a good magazine with ideas on recipes, cleaning,
health tips, etc. I picked this magazine due to the cheap
price of $1.49. It's worth every penny and then some.

This magazine has been around for 63 years and my Mom
has been reading it for most of that time. It's more of
a magazine for the home, but it also has good insight
and tips for working women. They have now created a
web site for Woman's Day (www.womansday.com) and it's
a great source of information and interactive features.

I love the editor, Jane Chesnutt, who is so down to earth
and positive in her Editor's Letter each month. She always
has a 'just for fun' column with fun ideas to help a woman
relax and get her mind off the stresses of life.

The page layouts are much better than they used to be and
much more modern. They are now not as busy and colorful,
which is much easier to read. The magazine has increased
the amount of health articles they have, which I like
and find important. Woman's Day also doesn't promote fad diets
and unrealistic expectations. The few models that are
featured in the magazine, tend to be older and have
shapes more like the majority of the readers.

They always have great features on how to make craft
projects. They are usually geared toward an upcoming
holiday, but there are also craft ideas for the home.
The home decoration tips are always easy to replicate
and are not expensive.

Some other features are: diet and exercise, your looks,
to make, true stories, your home, food, health, solutions,
tip talk, shoppers guide, recipe index, how to, children,
WD best buys, and happy endings.

Of course we cannot talk about this magazine without
bringing up the food and menu articles. The pictures
make your mouth water and the recipes are easy to
follow. They always have the cutest baked goods ideas,
such as back to school cakes in the shapes of books.
This is a great magazine for people that are not
creative by nature. There are so many good easy ideas,
that anyone can create unique recipes or items for
their home.

There are usually pull out features, such as menus
and recipe plans. Overall, I highly recommend this
magazine to anyone who has a home and enjoys being
creative.
