Windows XP Pro SP-2

The Bottom Line: Windows XP SP-2 has many useful features; it is quite secure on the internet or network group. But it's expensive and large, requiring expensive hardware for a smooth performance.

XP:great on a new system, Extra Poor on a low end one

The Bottom Line: Well until a newer Windows OS comes out we are pretty much stuck with this one. I have seen worse OS (ME comes to mind) easier to install than Linux
Review: I have worked with many operating systems from DOS 2.0 on up to XP and with a few OS that are not of the Microsoft family. It seems that just as fast as computers make another step forward then the OS takes a giant leap forward... or is it backward...

The Bottom Line: I would not recommend Windows for anyone who has more than 10 minutes to learn an operating system. It is insecure and supports a known monopoly.

Dell OEM, upgraded with SP2, but SAME anyways

I really like XP's stability, and SP2 helps provide the best of both worlds. Not only do I get Better uptime than with windows 98, but also a more stable Operating system.
