Wouldn't Buy It

I saw this product on TV and just had to have it. I have never had luck with planting a garden in the ground. It looked so easy and the way the infomerical explained the way the plants grow sounded right. I wanted the Topsy Turvy Tree, but is was too expensive so I ordered the regular Topsy Turvy and planted the tomato plant from the bottom as directed, but, also cut two holes on either side to plant two additional tomato plants. I tried to get them to angle down, but while adding the dirt, they somehow angled themselves up, so, I let it go.  Now I have tomotoes growing but only on the plants that are on the sides (growing upright). No blossoms have even produced on the bottom, downward plant.  The bottom tomato plant from the beginning did not want to grow down. The stocks themselves are fighting to curl upward toward the sun. I have passed other Topsy Turvey planters on my block and I see their plants are all curling up and trying to grow up as well. I planted a similar tomato plant in a patio container with a tomato cage insert. I have several tomatoes on it and added blossoms coming on this plant as well.  I would not reccommend this product.
