Brad is the Randy Travis of the 21st Century

At first, when I heard his name I thought, what kind of country singer is THIS? Then I heard the first song and I cried (He Didn't Have To Be). I ran out, bought the CD and taught my boys the song so they could sing it for their step-dad for Father's Day.

In the interim of teaching them, I fell in L-O-V-E! I have not been so excited about a new artist since Randy Travis came on the scene in 1986. He writes, he plays guitar and he has the REAL country sound that country fans have grown to love over the last 90 years.

We Danced is a beautiful song about a man and woman falling in love, and all because of a chance meeting because of a purse left behind.

Two People touches my heart so deeply. It tells the story of how we are all here because two people fell in love.

Me Neither shows Brad's lighter side with a bit of humor. In the song the young man is trying to sway a young woman to dance with him, talk to him, go out for a bite to eat with him. From the lyrics of the song, you gather she is saying no to everything because he keeps saying me neither. Very funny, and a great song!

And of course, there's He Didn't Have To Be, the story of a man who grew up with a step-father and tells how he didn't have to be the wonderful father that he was. If you aren't touched by THIS song you are stone cold dead inside.

I ran right out and bought the second CD -- Part Two. Another AWESOME musical collection! I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishing Song) shows off Brad's slightly silly side. A song about a man who's woman wants him to decide between fishing and her...and he's gonna miss her. Most women would flip their lid, but the song makes us forget how upset we are and how funny the whole man/woman thing really is.

Two Feet of Topsoil shows off Brad's amazing talent to sing like an auctioneer.

If you've never heard him croon The Old Rugged Cross acapella, pick up Part Two and be prepared to cry.

Talented, handsome and already inducted into the Opry and now married to actress Kimberly Williams, he's really got it all....and he'll go far. Hopefully he'll bring country music back to what it was and should be, while attracting a slightly younger audience. Some day he'll be one of the great country legends, on par with Hank Williams, Sr., George Jones, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Randy Travis.
