Works great for us - smart purchase for a smart washer

I love our Whirlpool Duet Washer. We bought this model because it had almost all of the great features or the larger models at half the cost. With only my husband and myself to wash clothing for, we didn't really see the need to be able to wash a trillion pairs of jean plus 40 towels all at once. Even though it seem smaller than most washers, it has no agitator, and therefore more washing room. Usually I save up my laundry and do it every 2 weeks or so. Even with such infrequent laundering, I only end up doing 3-4 loads at a time.

I never thought you could clean clothes so well with just a couple gallons of water, but lo and behold, out clothes come out sparkling. Plus, the low water yield and lack of agitator makes for a very quiet wash cycle (just the gentle 'sloosh sloosh' of the water turning in the drum).

This washer is very efficient and saves us a good deal of money on electricity - even more since we can wash more clothes at one time and have to do fewer loads.

The washer has spaces in a pull out drawer to deposit laundry detergent, fabric softener and bleach all at once -extremely helpful when you want to just set it up and walk away and not have to come back and add things later.

The only thing I don't really like about this product is how easily it becomes weighted on one side during the spin cycle. When this happens, it shakes quite a bit and generally make a ruckus. I've just come to learn not to put anything on top of the machine while it's running.
