Whirlpool GR2SHWXP (21.7 cu. ft.) Top Freezer Refrigerator

I purchased this model two and a half years ago. As soon as I purchased it, one of the plastic lips on the front of the shelves cracked. I thought it was something we did and let it go.

Over the next few months ALL of the shelf fronts cracked in exactly the same place, even the shelf for butter and eggs.

I contacted the company and found to replace the four shelves would be $238.00!!! The product is obviously defective for EVERY floating shelf to break in exactly the same place but I wasn't even offered a discount to replace them.

Another problem is that the finish on the door scratches very easily. This I was willing to overlook because I needed a size to fit into the space I had, but you may want to consider that.

I have been trying unsuccessfully for years to get a freezer setting that works. I use the ice cream as a barometer and I have yet to achieve a setting that leaves it neither mushy or rock hard.

Do yourself a favor, keep looking for a model that won't give you problems you'll have to pay dearly for to correct.
