Author's Review

Purchased on 8/7/07 and installation went well. Used the clean washer cycle and water pours out from the front seal. Called and they came out to fix it. It was fixed until the following month when I used the clean washer cycle again. Started to leak, called for service. Service tech came out noticed it leaked and just a few day before this a squeak from one of the springs started to make noise. Tech called Whirlpool to see how to fix leak, seal was good, so Whirlpool suggested they "BEND" the door and hinge to get it not too leak. Tech decided not to "BEND" the door. Instead he ordered a new door assy and hinge. The hinge is on backorder and Whirlpool has no idea when one will be in. They extended my warranty, which is great but if you cannot get parts, then the warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on. Waiting for Whirlpool to get back to me to see where they can get a hinge. If you're unable to get replacements parts, I suggest a different brand.
UPDATE 10/15/07: the part fell out of the sky, it arrived today 10/15.
