Works great for me

I bought this unit as a pair about 2 months ago. It seemed shopping for a washer and dryer was worse than shopping for a car. We finally decided on this unit because of the size and looks, but would have bought the Fridgidair units if we had been looking for a 3.5 cubic foot capacity.

This washing machine has lived up to all of my expectations so far. It has washed several king sized comforters with ease. The "sanitary" cycle takes 1 hour 50 minutes, but I rarely use it, and the time has not been an issue. Most loads run on a 50 minute cycle, and everything dries in the matching dryer in 40 minutes on medium heat. My laundry gets done much quicker than with my old Calypso top loading unit.

I read complaints about musty smells, smelly gasgets and such, but I have not had any problems at all. When I've finished the last load for the day I wipe the door and inner seal with a wash cloth to dry. Takes about 30 seconds and is just a part of keeping things nice. I then leave the door slightly ajar until the next morning. I do the same with the soap dispenser. That part takes all of about 10 seconds, and again, it's just part of keeping things nice.

I would never go back to another top loader. I love the convenience of having such a large surface to fold and stack clothes.

My pair sits on the concrete slab our house was built on. I never have a problem with noise or vibration.
