Last for all of 3 years

Remodeled my kitchen in 2006 when I purchased this microwave. This appliance worked very well for the 3 years it lasted. The fan, light and clock still works. A service technician checked the appliance and found that the Transformer needed to be replaced.  I paid $400 for this microwave and it would cost me almost a much to repair it.  I am caught between a rock and a hard place because my other kitchen appliances are whirlpool and I would want a similiar brand microwave. In the interim I have gone back to using an old counter top microwave I've had for years, until I decide on my next purchase.  Would definately recommend against purchasing this appliance.
