We have had this machine now for almost a year. We bought ours a Lowe's. We wanted a smaller only 27" wide, front loading washer to fit in a closet in our Recreational Vehicle. We needed something that used only a little water and this one seemed to be one of the better ones. It does shake a bit when on the final spin. I found it held a good deal of clothes for the small size. But clothes came out clean when using the directions in the manual for amount of clothes.
I found I didn't need very much soap. In fact you do have to be careful not to put too much in, as that is bad for the machine. And you do need to buy the High Efficiency kind of detergent so it doesn't over suds. I find that to be a little more expensive than a regular laundry detergent. I was able to buy my favorite kind of detergent in the HE form.
I did have a leaking problem but only sometimes. So after several months of infrequent leaks, we called the 800 number. A & E were the people to come and service for me. I found them very nice and helpful. When the technician came to our home, he had called 30 minutes before, so I knew he was coming. He looked at the machine without actually seeing it leak. But because we said it did, he ordered another drum door seal and told us to call him when it came to our house. He had also adjusted the back little legs on the machine while at our house. It did not leak after this, but when the door seal came, we called and rescheduled a repair and within a short time he came again to put it in. I felt that the technician and the company went out of their way to fix our problem. It works great now and I have no more leaks.
I also always clean the seal with a cloth by wiping it down after I am finished washing so that there is no water in the seal. I think that will keep the smell out often associated with front loading machines. I also feel that the our clothes are not being worn out by washing as much as a top loading machine. We find we have very little lint even when washing brand new towels.
