Great Features for the money

by   philbaum ,  Sep 20, 2005
Pros: Water heater, 1200 rpm, no significant lint, good washing results
Cons: Temps can only be adjusted by selecting wash modes which use hot, warm, cold.
The Bottom Line: Solid, well behaved machine that does an excellent job washing at a very reasonable price.
Review: We've had this machine for two months now and consider it to be a great choice for my wife and I. We've had only 1 problem with it, the power switch wouldn't stay on at the two week point. I had an extended warranty contract with Lowes and they paid an ...

A great little washer

by   tremblant ,  May 22, 2006
Pros: Great capacity (for a couple), uses little water, gentle on clothes, small size.
Cons: Length of wash cycle, few optional cycles.
The Bottom Line: Buy this small capacity machine if you don't need - or can live without - the optional extras of a higher-priced, larger capacity machine. Saves water, gentle on clothes.
Review: We had been searching for a small capacity front-loading washer for some time. None of our local suppliers stocked them and I was unwilling to place a special order without first-hand knowledge of each machine's strengths and weaknesses. Whirlpool has a ...

Finally a good machine

by   simomart ,  Apr 6, 2009
Pros: Everything
Cons: None for now.
The Bottom Line: Very happy with this machine.
Review: I just bought this machine at the Sears outlet in Baltimore, and I use it for support to the big GE 6400 model, which has spinning problems since day one. This is the major reason why I own two washers, because my GE has so many problems trying to ...

I love this machine!

by   janmreimer ,  Jul 24, 2008
Pros: I found out how efficient these machines are, as the clothes come out very dry.
Cons: I found out the hard way that there is no bleach dispenser.
The Bottom Line: I really like this little washer. I love how dry my clothes are when washed and I love not using much water in the process.
Review: We have had this machine now for almost a year. We bought ours a Lowe's. We wanted a smaller only 27" wide, front loading washer to fit in a closet in our Recreational Vehicle. We needed something that used only a little water and this one seemed to be ...

Ahhh, Clean and EcoFriendly

by   jsaintsepinion ,  Aug 25, 2005
Pros: Self heating, Stainless tub, small ext, Huge 2.9 Cubic foot loads, spins clothes near dry.
Cons: Loading height too Low, Alarming long pause before starting, No bleach option in washer.
The Bottom Line: Get this if you don't need a bigger one and want a less expensive self heating washer. Plan on raising it to a reasonable height. Flooring is everything once installed!
Review: We bought the Whirlpool LHW0050PQ it’s been a joy to use. Small exterior size 3" all around compared to my old Kenmore top load, Real quiet too "our dryer is louder". This machine was a replacement to our 12 year old top loader that ...

Ok friends a detergent review

by   fancycat ,  Oct 4, 2005
Pros: use of proper detergents will add life to your machine
Cons: not using the proper detergents will kill your machine prematurely
The Bottom Line: Whirlpool has always made dependable and reliable washers for many years and will do so for many generations to come.
Review: Hi i see some of the front load washer owners still need a little guidance on which laundry detergents to use. Well here goes. I have posted a review of certain detergents in the review for the maytag front loads. But im will touch base with them ...

Great Compact Washer

by   yifkin ,  Dec 30, 2007
Pros: Compact size, good features, reliable, SILENT and attractive.
Cons: None, given this is a compact unit. Matching dryer number LEW0050P is terrible.
Review: This washer came with my apartment and works flawlessly. I wish it were bigger, but it is compact and is in the closet of a one bedroom apartment. When in use, it is absolutely silent, except on spin cycle, and even then it is quieter than most top ...

Pretty impressive on several counts

by   toddabearsf ,  Mar 24, 2005
Pros: Economical water use; cleans well; large capacity yet small size overall.
Cons: No bleach dispenser; no temperatures indicated on control panel; vibrates during spin on my floor.
The Bottom Line: Very small size overall yet large capacity, saves water and electricity, solidly built, cleans well.
Review: If you don’t go look at the Whirlpool LHW0050PQ and its matching dryer (electric only), you wouldn’t guess it’s made in Italy. It is identical to the EuroTech EWF272 washer with the only differences being slight trim details and ...

Great, compact washer!

by   twyatt2 ,  Aug 28, 2008
Pros:

small footprint, washes well, very little water use, very quiet, 12k RPM spin

Cons: no bleach dispenser, no overt water temperature control, uneven loads will shake during spin cycle
The Bottom Line: Good option for a front-load washer, where only a small space is available.
Review: We bought this washer with its companion dryer roughly 7 months ago. After doing some research, we found a "standard size" front-load washer/dryer combo would not fit where we were intending to put them. Our house was built before the front-load washers ...

Budget model from the European Market

by   rednosedog ,  Dec 23, 2005
Pros: Simple, effective, robust. Holds more than you think.
Cons: Important specs are merely average in the global market. People who sell it haven't studied.
The Bottom Line: Yes. Sensible engineering still wins me over.
Review: We are a childless couple in a 900 square foot condominium. Space is a particularly finite resource for us. We looked at the 5kg Miele, the Slovenian-built Danby, the Bosch Axis, the baby Korean-built Maytag, and this Whirlpool. We've owned it for six ...
