Whirlpool GU2455XTS Built-in Dishwasher

A little backround: The longest I've ever had a dishwasher was my old Kenmore in a previous home and was good even though a bottom of the line unit. This whirlpool I purchased to replace a Frigidarie that was bearly 4 years old and nothing but problems. I picked this one up for a very good price because I have a friend in the appliance business. Overall I'm satisfied with this dishwasher. After a few months it's been problem free (more than I can say for the last one). It cleans well, but occasionally some coffee cups don't come too clean in the top rack. I'd say it cleans as well as most other dishwashers I've seen. The racks slide in and out easily and are versatile. The silverware rack that goes on the door is nice in that it gives you more room in the bottom rack, but the down side is it's smaller than most. Sometimes I find I have way too much silverware and I have to wind up stuffing them in, thereby compromising cleaning efficiency. Although it says "Quiet partner III" I find it's only satisfactory in terms of noise. The useless Frigidaire was more quiet.. (the only good thing about that unit). Another downside is the length of the cycles. The normal wash cycle takes around 2 hours providing your water is hot enough. If it is not it can take even longer. The pots and pans setting will go 3 hours. This is longer than most dishwashers I've seen. That being said, one nice feature is the glass xpress cycle. It will do both racks in 30 minutes. Of course this is only good for hardly soiled dishes and glasses.
