Nice, sleek, quiet.

The Bottom Line:  Nylon racks, food disposal, water filtering, sanitizer. Recommended
We like the way that the racks are laid out. The adjustable top rack rack seems to be right out of one of the more expensive Kitchen Aide models. We also like the extra room that the silverware holder in the door gives on the bottom rack. This model has most of the features that we were looking for in a dishwasher. Adjustable Top Rack, Quiet operation, and Food disposal. One of the best selling points of this model was that it does not just slosh dirty water around, it constantly filters it. The documentation states that there is a sensor that senses how much debris is in the water, drains part of the dirty water out, and refills.
After purchasing the unit, and waiting for the install, we found out that this model replaces the abysmal GU2400XTS.
We were quite apprehensive to see how this brand new model compared. We have a family of 5 in the house, so we are not lacking for dirty dishes. The Dishwasher is ran at a minimum of every other day. Of the negative comments on the 2400 model I have found that Whirlpool must have listened, and redesigned the racks. I don't have any problems finding a place for bowls, regardless of size. One of the complaints was that food debris was simply scattered out to the rest of the dishes in the dishwasher. We have some glasses that have an indentation on the bottom that can collect both water and food debris. I have yet to notice any sign of debris. The water left standing in the top of the glass is much less than that was in our previous unit a 15 year old RCA. A simple tilt over the sink gets rid of any issues with water standing. All of the items have come out nice and clean. I have only used the Normal Cycle, with the Hi Temp wash, and Sanitize options. I have not used the heated dry option, and don't feel that we will have the need to do so. I was apprehensive of the noise rating of this unit as well. There is very little motor noise, but the water sloshing noise is pronounced enough that it caused both my wife and I to look and feel under the unit to ensure that it was not leaking. Since the noise is a high frequency noise, it does not travel into the next rooms. Only on occasion will it get loud enough for us to realize that the machine is actually on. In the room directly under it, I never hear it all. I never know when it fills, or drains.
Over all we are happy with the unit and would purchase one again.
The con is that when loading large coffee mugs, caution must be used to ensure that they are empty prior to turning upside down and loading them on to the top rack. Our old dishwashers door was deep enough to contain any liquid that spilled out. Now the door is both farther way, and more shallow allowing liquids to escape. A vary minor issue in my way of thinking. Just a small change of habits is needed.
