Is this what they call a "dish-dirtier",?

The Bottom Line: Look at other brands if you want to have clean dishes. The whirlpool built in dishwasher did not perform well at all for our family.
What has Whirlpool been up to? We assumed when we had our new home built that we would purchase wonderful new appliances and Whirlpool usually lives up to it's name. NOT in this case of their undercounter built in dishwasher! Here are some of the pluses and minuses to this dishwasher...
PLUSES
-Ours is white, clean and modern looking
-It has several function buttons including light, normal, heavy washes.
-It has a delay timer so you can program it to wash dishes up to 3 hrs ahead.
-It has a removable utensil basket.
MINUSES
-It leaves film on glasses and food on dishes
-I have found NO use for the delay timer but I guess someone might.
-The untensil basket is the worst I've seen because larger items like spatulas, slotted spoons etc fall out of it easily because the basket is too short for them.
I do not recomend this dishwasher because the spiffy appearance nor the delay timer make up for not getting dishes clean. If you have to rinse or almost wash dishes prior to placing them in the dishwasher, what use is it to have one!? My old dishwasher was 8 yrs old and cleaned dishes much better. We tried many different detergents and none really made much difference in this dishwasher except that electrosol powder did a little better job cleaning dishes. I can not use tablets or gels at all, because the results were atrocious! Dishes looked so nasty and dirty. Glasses get scummy buildups and even have food stuck in them where small pieces of food shot up from the lower rack I presume. If you're looking for a good dishwasher, please take this advice and look at another brand.
