Pros: Well-done plot; excellent acting; total tearjerker
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Where the Heart Is will inspire your romantic side.
Review: Every so often I watch a movie that impacts me. Today I watched two of them, and one of them was Where the Heart Is. I was totally involved in the movie within a few minutes of it starting, and by the end I was sitting there on the couch torn...

Pros: Great story, funny.
Cons: Almost sad to the brink... luckily it doesn't cross the line.
Review: Yes, it's been roughly two hours, give or take a few sips of wine. =+) I forgot to mention in Part 1 that I originally picked the order to watch the movies according to how I thought I'd like them... least favorite to most. So far that has held...

Pros: This is a fantastic movie that will make you laugh, make you cry, make you want to cheer, and make you want to beat the mess out of a few dead beat guys!
Cons: I loved the whole thing!
Review: I cannot believe that it has taken me an entire week to write an epinion on this movie. It was one of the best movies I have seen in quite awhile!

Pros: Great Cast
Cons: None
Review: Did you ever watch a movie where you could see yourself as the lead character? Yeah that is right I always wanted to be Cindy Crawford in Pretty Women. Not necessarily the hooker part, but darn that girl got it all and Richard Gere(hahahaha). Anyways in...

Pros: A deeply moving story of triumph over adversity
Cons: Are there really people this wonderful on this planet? Yes? Where are they?
Review: In her book, "Where the Heart Is," Oklahoma author Billie Letts carved out a story as warm and rich as the fertile soil of the Sooner State she writes about. The movie version of "Where the Heart Is" is as faithful a screen adaptation...

Pros: Excellent cast; uplifting
Cons: Melodramatic at times
Review: After reading many dismal reviews, I wasn't sure I wanted to see this movie. In fact, were it not for my friends' invitation for a night out with dinner and NO kids (!!), I would not have put it highly on my list. However, I must say I'm so glad I saw...

Pros: Great acting
Cons: Not long enough
Review: My husband and I don't go to movies very often. I have a hard time justifying the price of two movie tickets when I find most movies just don't interest me enough to keep me awake. My husband had been trying to get me to a movie for almost a month when...

Pros: Great acting, intense emotions
Cons: A little slow in parts
Review: I enjoyed this movie even though it is slow in spots. Natalie Portman plays Novalee Nation. She's 17 and has never known love, never had a real home. To use her phrase: she's "never lived anyplace that didn't have wheels under it ". Her...

Pros: Great acting, great story.
Cons: Wish there was a commentary on the DVD.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to young mothers, and any other women that just enjoy a good story.
Review: Novalee Nation (Natalie Portman) is a 15-year-old who has to grow up in a hurry. Left pregnant and abandoned by her boyfriend at a parking lot of a Wal-mart in Oklahoma. Novalee takes refuge in a Wal-Mart. Some kindly strangers (Stockard Channing, ...

Pros: wonderful message
Cons: the ending keeps you kind of hanging
Review: I first heard about "Where The Heart Is" on Oprah Winfrey. The book was part of her book club, and being the woman I am, I trust Oprah. So I purchased the book and fell in love with it and the characters. Who couldn't love someone who...
