HITS REVISITED SHOULD BE LEFT IN THE PAST

This is a testament to Ms. Francis' fortitude. She was physically and emotionally ill when she undertook this massive session for Malaco. She re-recorded her hits and other songs but her voice although strong, wavers and is too nasal. This does not mean this is a bad CD. Several songs stand out. The music to "Second Hand Love" is absolutely gorgeous. Her hit "Together" is sung without straining her voice and comes off very nicely. "Torn Between Two Lovers" should have been written for her. It is a perfect Connie Francis vehicle. This very long recording had quite an impact around the world as portions of it have seen many reissues under many different titles. A note to readers: Connie Francis is back and her voice is better than ever. Listen to "Standards Live" if you don't believe this reviewer.
