PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY

My TV went out after a 1 1/2 years.  First started making humming noise whenever it was on which was annoying late at night when you want the volume down low, then, it would not scan channels, then the v-hold when on the fritz (obviously a common problem I've found via the Internet).  I contacted WH and they stated even though it was out of warranty, I had some additional warranty through HSN where I purchased the TV and they would replace it.  I was told I would have a shipping code within 24 hours but received it approximately 7 days later after calling three times.

So I've paid $50.00 to have it shipped back and I'm currently waiting on the replacement.

I will not purchase a Westinghouse TV again.  I have an old 19" tube television I purchased in 1999 and that thing is still going, in fact that's what were watching now waiting on the 32 inch.  Makes me think this need for HD/LCD was a big fraud by the manufacturers or something, these TV's don't last half as long as the old analog sets.  But that's just my opinion based on my WH experience.
