Best music to drive to, ever!
Date of Review: Jan 8, 2001
OK, I have to brag a bit here, but you'll understand in a bit. Over Christmas Break I found Weezer (in CD form) for $7.50!!!!! Since my tape was dead and I had recently acquired a car with a CD player I had to buy it!
Anyway...I first developed a love for Weezer while still in high school. We would play this tape (yup, people still had tapes back then) while driving about town. It is by far some of the greatest music to drive to for both around town or long road trips.
First, this is music that almost everyone, my parents and smelly roommate excluded, can enjoy. This was discovered over a lot of coffee with old friends, everyone had a different song that they related to and loved for various reasons. My friend Kyle's favorite song was "In the Garage" because he would listen to it when he was living in a garage.
Second, this is one of the few CDs that I own where I love every track! Most CDs there are a few songs that I really dig, and that's why I bought it, and then the rest you just skip through, what a waste!!!
Third, I think Weezer put subliminal messages in their music that keeps me from killing the morons on the road. You know who they are, the bozos on their cell phones, people who don't buckle their kids up, and fat ugly guys who insist on driving naked!
That's it, I love this CD, it will probably be the first album where I wear out both the tape and CD!
