No replacement probes max it useless after a 10 uses

Product works great, very accurate and the remote receiver lets me watch football/golf while keeping my eye on the meat. My only complaint is a significant one. The actual meat probe sensor (the corded thingy that you stick into the meat) shorts out and fails after only ten uses, without the probe you're holding $40 worth of high tech junk. Weber doesn't offer replacement probes (very short sighted). I'm on my third unit, my local ACE Hardware keeps replacing the entire unit for free. It makes me wonder if anyone at Weber actually uses their own products. The solution is for Weber to make a better probe and offer the meat probe sensor as a replacement item.
