Best Grill I've owned bar none.

After much research online and "tire kicking" at the big box stores I decided to go with the Genesis E-310 (LP) Grill. I've owned a few grills in the past that simply didn't have any of the build quality and cooking consistency of this Weber. I purchased it at OSH but it's also available at Barbecues Galore. At first I was shopping for the Summit Series Weber makes but couldn't justify the extra cost. I put the grill together myself and the assembly went very smoothly and easily with a few simple tools. The box is large but well packed. This baby is very solid and well constructed compared to the flimsy models I've owned in the past. Stainless steel parts are protected with an easy to peel film. When completed the grill looks and feels sturdy and fired up correctly upon it's first lighting. I just got it yesterday and tried it out today, Father's Day, at a barbecue for 12 people and it performed flawlessly. It heats up very quickly and retains its heat. I've never owned a grill that cooked so evenly. I didn't have any of those continuous flare ups you've all probably experienced in the past. I grilled eggplant, bell peppers, corn, steaks, hamburgers and chicken all to perfection. And believe me it wasn't my cooking skills, I have to give all the credit to Weber as I socialized and just let the grill do the work. I kept an eye on my watch for flipping but as the Weber cookbook instructs, I kept the lid closed except for flipping things and didn't poke and prod non-stop. The first tasted superb and I didn't overcook anything. Kudos for Weber for making me look like a grill hero. I would definitely recommend this grill and the purchase of a $50 vinyl cover to protect your investment from the ravages of sun and weather. I look forward to more grilling with my Weber.
