Best $30 I've spent in a long time...

When the weather warmed up this spring, my husband and I decided that we needed a grill. Our biggest motivation was to cut down on our cooling bills in the summer, by keeping the kitchen much cooler. The $30 we spent on the Weber Smokey Joe was the best 30 bucks I've spent in a LONG time!!!

We looked at lots of other small/portable charcoal grills, but they all seemed to be "disposable". The Weber was really study and looked like it would hold up to our frequent use. It was just a few dollars more than many other, but seemed worth the money. I'm so glad we were right!

The Smokey Joe is small, compact, easy to clean, and definitely sturdy. It was also really easy to assemble. I didn't feel like I needed special training just to put it together. We've used it at least every other day for the past month and a half, and seems to be holding up really well. It still looks practically brand new. I also liked the handle on this grill. It's a sturdy plastic, and doesn't become too hot to the touch when we're grilling. That way we can leave the oven mits inside (although it's probably still a good idea to use them for safety's sake.)

Considering that we haven't had this grill very long, perhaps my epinion isn't a good judge of whether this grill will really last. However, judging by the sturdiness of the Weber, I anticipate that we'll be using this grill for a very long time.
