How can something so small cook so much?

3 gas grills, 1 Bar-B-Q pit, and 2 large charcoal grills later the Weber Smokey Joe Grill wins! We have been using our Weber Smokey Joe for a year now. Its permanent home is on top of a patio table on our back screened-in porch.

My husband bought the Weber Smokey Joe when he was preparing for a trip to go see car races. The races usually last all day and the 'track' food is less than appetizing so a group of his friends take food and make their own lunch. He has tried several other of the cheap little charcoal grills but ended up trashing them. They became rusty and unsteady after just a few uses. After using the Weber Smokey Joe, he came home and said "you have to try this, this little grill cooks everything."

The actual grill holds about a half bag of charcoal. The cooking grate is over 14 inches. It has a lid with a wooden handle.

*The charcoal - heats quickly and burns evenly. There are 4 small holes in the bottom of the grill with an ash plate under them. As the charcoal burns up, the ashes fall out of the bottom and you can just take the plate out and dump it.

*The cooking grate will hold an entire dinner for 6 people. I usually cook 4-6 1 pound steaks or 5 kebabs on regular 10" skewers. If you use it for burgers you can cook enough for up to 8 people. It is amazing how much food this little grill can cook at one time.

*The overall structure of the grill is very sturdy. The wood handle never gets hot so you don't need a mit to open the grill to turn the food. After a year of being out in the weather and many, many uses it still looks great and shows no rust.

*The price can't be beat. This grill is well worth the $25.00 that it costs. It has outlasted much more expensive grills by far.

I would highly recommend the Smokey Joe Grill by Weber to everyone who likes the taste of food cooked using charcoal. This little grill is perfect for people who live in apartments or townhouses with small balconies and patio areas. It only uses about 2 feet of space to cook and is easy to store in a small area.
