Author's Review

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is a great film that was released on Christmas Day in 2007. It was directed by Jay Russell. It stars Alex Etel as a young boy who finds a mysterious egg and nurses its contents a water horse. The location is Scotland and the era is the 1940’s A boy named Agnus whom is living in a house with his mother and sister and a couple of servants learns that his father has disappeared after his ship sank. Angus has high hopes that his father is just that missing and has not passed away. He stumbles upon the egg and when it hatches the contents inside are stunning it is a water horse that Agnus names Crusoe. This water horse turns into the well fabled Loch Ness monster.
He keeps the creature a well kept secret at first telling no one but he eventually spills the beans , and lets his sister and the male servant in on the secret creature. The water horse grows like a weed and when the tub will no longer accomadate the creature he is moved to the nearby lake. The creature remains companions with the boy allowing it to ride it and play, but is not fond of the dog that attacked it when it was young and with soldiers nearby and bullets flying threw the air will the creature survive?
